Food First
CNG actively supports and has close links with the Food First campaign. Recent campaigns have centered on weight management:
- Weight Wise - 2002
- Eat 2b Fit - 2003
- Size Matters - 2004
- W8 Wise @ Work - 2005
- Weight Wise : The Next Generation - 2006
For Eat 2 b Fit, both the target group and the idea of Teacher Guides were suggested by a focus group at CNG Conference.
In 2004 men aged over 35 and in social class IV and V were targeted.
The 2005 Food First campaign focused on being weight wise at work.

The theme for the 2006 campaign in June is Weight Wise : The Next Generation, focusing on 11-19 year olds. It aims to empower teenagers to make sound choices helping them eat healthier, be more active and manage their weight better. Throughout the campaign and beyond, BDA members are encouraged to place links on their PCT, NHS or internal
websites.

News about 2007....next year, the theme will remain with Weight Wise, with the target audience being the over 50s.
