CNG Parallel Session at 2006 BDA Annual Conference
The session looked at how the work of Community Dietitians has changed over the past decade or more. It looked at some of the skills now needed by Community Dietitians to enable them to work within the wider public health field. The session included details of the Faculty of Public Health Voluntary Registration for defined specialists and discussed what this might mean for Community Dietitians working in the field of public health.
It looked at developing policy both within a PCT and within other partners and explored some of the more novel areas of work such as work with food producers, community based initiatives and within settings such as extended schools.
